I request that an environmental assessment be conducted for mining activities, regardless of what Bill 5 says. Environmental assessments exist so that a project understands all possible adverse impacts on the environment, which sustains us all. E.g., if a mining project is going to cause a lot of pollution to a water source, that will cause contamination to drinking water to animals and humans, which will negatively affect health and put more strain on our health services. Only when a project understands all impacts, can it proceed to its full potential. It will cost less and be more respectful to follow proper procedures.
