There should definitely be stronger protection for tenants against landlords. As rental prices increased, landlords today have a bigger incentive to cheat their tenants out of their homes in order to attract other tenants who could pay at a higher rate. There should be stronger penalties to prevent landlords from acting in bad faiths, and broader tenant protections and enforcements.
