The Resource Recovery and Circular Economy MUST NOT be delayed!
I am appalled by manufacturers being allowed to use black plastic when black plastic is NOT recyclable, e.g. take out containers - make consumers bring their own from home or switch to cardboard or aluminum.
I am appalled by the number of of items previously available loose are now only available are wrapped in plastic, e.g. mushrooms, broccoli, convenience lettuces, etc.
I am appalled by how many items previously available in glass are now ONLY available in plastic! e.g. salad dressings, oils, mayonnaise, etc. There are so many things that I have had to stop buying simply because the item is only available in plastic.
If manufacturers were forced to sell items in non-plastic containers, we wouldn't have the garbage nor the recycling mess that we are in. STOP IT AT SOURCE!
