I **oppose** the proposed amendments re Delaying the Recovery Targets, Removing Planned Expansion for Multi-Residential Buildings, Schools, and Specified Long-Term Care Homes and Retirement Homes, and removing “Away from Home” Collection for Beverage Containers.

1) The producers have had plenty of time to prepare for the recovery targets and do not deserve to have these pushed further out. Furthermore, it's essential that Ontario improve its recovery rates as we run out of landfill space. And even if there was a rationale for a slight delay, five years is ridiculously long.

2) As the province continues to densify, more and more people are living in multi-unit dwellings. We cannot possibly meet recovery targets w/o including these dwellings, and we cannot afford to have all this waste go in landfills.

3) At workplaces, training centres, and convention centres/hotels, I have seen huge volumes of discarded containers that need to be recycled. This cannot just be ignored by the producers.

I would suggest this whole proposal be discarded, and the producers told to do better.
