It is my understanding that it is proposed that an Official Plan or Comprehensive OP Amendment in a single-tier municipality, once approved by the Minister, would not be appealable. I find this very undemocratic. Worst still, inconsistency with the Planning Act is not cited as a basis for appeal. What then is the purpose of the Planning Act other than to ensure good planning? This does not make any sense at all!
