Upon visiting the North Glengarry BESS site on 1454 Skye Road near Dunvegan, North Glengarry this afternoon (September 15, 2025) I observed that twenty battery containers and three transformers had been fully installed and wired but it is clear that no work had been performed which would address the issues that would arise in case of fire (thermal run-away) or heavy rain:

- NO spill containment plan
- NO storm water management
- NO fire water runoff and contamination plan
- NO Thermal pollution of water courses plan
- NO ground water impact plan
- Inadequate on site water supply for fire fighting

This puts every neighbour, farm and rural home owner living nearby and downstream from this BESS site at great risk of being exposed to contamination on a daily basis.
How is it possible that such battery storage site is being allowed to be constructed while all of the highly potential environmental adverse impacts are being fully ignored?
This shows an absolute lack of environmental consideration in general and of potential adverse impact consideration on the neighbouring farming and residential community by the proponent North Glengarry BESS Inc.!
This is extremely concerning and upsetting!
