The proposed dumping of effluent into the goulais river will have such a detrimental impact on the area from searchmont to goulais all the way into lake Superior. There are thousands of homes that live on or a very close proximity to the river and use this river for everything from swimming, fishing and drinking, the indeginous people in the area still use and rely on this river for fishing and practicing traditional ceremonies, has there been a environmental impact study on the vast amount of species of fish that reside in the river and how it will affect the migratory birds that call the goulais river home ?I have yet to see anyone boots on the ground going door to door to ask there concerns or even see if they can spend a day on the river to see what wildlife uses and relys on the river,
If the owners of the searchmont ski hill cannot contain and treat there raw sewage on site they may have to reconsider future expansion of the hill until they can get either more property to expand there system or a better system than dumping effluent into our river
