I 100% do NOT agree with this proposal. The Goulais River is a habitat and lifesource for a lot of wildlife in our area. It is also used for recreational purposes including swimming by the public, including the residents of Goulais and visitors to our area as well. We should be preserving and trying to clean the waters up, not polluting them more with human waste, recycled or not.
Maybe composting their waste and mixing it with the soil there will make the hills more green. I am not sure what the best solution for their waste management problem should be at Searchmont Resort but I am sure that dumping it in the Goulais River is not it. Not only is it inhumane to the animals, aquatic life and people who use it and inadvertedly or not drink it, it is an entirely gross idea!
