This Bill would wreck havoc…

This Bill would wreck havoc on the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ontarians and spell disaster for anyone living on a fixed budget. It will make housing more precarious than ever. We are in the midst of a housing crisis.

There is no evidence that effectively ending ongoing leases and thereby rent control will have a positive impact on the housing crisis. People need a place to live and will be forced to pay whatever landlords demand.

We need public social housing, not obviously pro-landlord legislation.

Bill 60, as it is written, is just cruel.
