I strongly object to this…

I strongly object to this application on the grounds of the acknowledged extreme risk of compromising the local environment and ground water, as clearly noted in the application: Category 3: water takings are anticipated to have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impactor interference.
It is unconscionable that this application could be approved when the risk to the environment and community is so high. Private wells could be impacted, as could agricultural irrigation which provides food sovereignty to our province. The location at the headwaters of 3 rivers, makes the risks even greater.
There is no need for this water taking other than greed on the behalf of Strada with no regard to the potential catastrophic harm to the community and the environment.
