SCRAP THE ENTIRE BILL! This new proposal is ridiculous, considering the affordable housing crisis we are currently in. This bill will make it even easier for landlords to evict tenants, and compensate them even LESS for evictions on short notice.
On top of the risks to ALL rental tenants, this bill is also trying to sneak in a mess of other things, hoping they go under the radar.
- Attacking bike lanes, (AGAIN!!) and now trying to prohibit rapid transit lanes
- Eliminating requirements for Green Roof installations on large developments (hello? we're in a climate crisis? We NEED these for managing storm water, and they create jobs!)
- The authority to overrule municipal plans.
This Bill does NOT represent the needs of Ontarians for hosting, transit, and the environment, and is unacceptable.
Do NOT underestimate how many citizens oppose this.
