I think the proposed change is terrible. Municipalities have enacted Green Development Standards based on their own local geography and priorities. It's crucial that standards conform to local circumstance and take these into account. Green Development Standards are essential for healthy and livable communities.
Take the example of bike parking. The situation regarding bike parking (and its availability without being required as a condition of development) is totally different in downtown Toronto than it is in a tiny town on the Bruce Peninsula. Local context matters!
