As a driver and bike rider in Ontario I am firmly against this bill. This is provincial overreach in municipal matters, it strip local residents from making the safest decision for their neighborhood. It has been proven that bike lanes don’t worsen traffic, the governments own experts confirmed this. This will make roads more dangerous for all users and undermines climate goals. The fact is that there is not enough space for everyone to driver their own personal vehicle where ever they want. The only solution is to provide viable alternatives to driving, this bill is in stark contradiction to this.
