This bill centralizes power with the Ontario government and prevents communities from making local informed decisions to improve the quality of urban life through measures that promote cycling and pedestrian-centered environments. It is a retrograde act when Ontario needs progressive action on reducing car-dependence and increasing the safety of our streets, all of which are necessary for adapting our lives to the changing climate. I oppose this act.
