I support the governments decision to reduce gridlock but removing bike lanes that our under utilized and the have created gridlock. The majority of people in the province support "sensible" bike lanes. I also support the Toronto board of Trades report on congestion which supports locating cycling infrastructure on minor arterial, secondary or local roads, preserving arterial roads for their core purpose of efficient vehicular traffic flow. I've attached a link to their report below.
Please note I'm an avid cyclist and use public transit every week day. I'm also pragmatic, and understand not all roadways are equal, some bike lanes work, some do not.
