I am 73 years old and live in Mississauga. Although I do cycle on occasion, I support separated bike lanes primarily because I am a driver. I feel much safer knowing where the cyclists are (especially the commercial cyclists) rather than having them winding in and out of traffic and compromising my attention. I think we need more bike lanes, not less. Surely we can do so through study and negotiation, rather than imposing restrictions from above.
