I do not support this proposal. I am deeply concerned about the environmental and community impacts that a sewage system approval of this scale could have on the Searchmont area.

This region is home to sensitive ecosystems, creeks, forests, and wildlife that are already under pressure from increased development. Any risk of contamination or imbalance to the watershed would have long-lasting effects on the health of the land and water systems that local families, programs, and small businesses depend on.

As someone who values and participates in outdoor education and community-based programs for children in the area, I believe it is crucial to ensure that environmental sustainability comes before convenience or expansion. Our community depends on clean water, healthy soil, and intact natural spaces — not just for recreation, but for teaching future generations about the importance of caring for the land we live on.

I respectfully urge the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to require a full, transparent environmental assessment and meaningful community consultation before considering approval. Protecting the long-term health of this region should remain the top priority.
