Stop focusing on cycling infrastructure as the cause of traffic and congestion. Focus on reducing individual car/vehicle use through creating more affordable public transit, increasing designated bike lanes and cycle tracks, and increasing sidewalk sizes and presence throughout the cities and towns.
"Traffic and congestion are a major source of air pollution especially in urban areas." How is de-prioritizing cycle lanes going to help with reducing air pollution? How is prioritizing motor vehicles, which cause air pollution, going to reduce air pollution?
Cars are not the solution. This bill is short-sighted and will cause further issues in the future in regards to traffic congestion, air pollution, noise pollution, and vehicle-related accidents and fatalities.
