Local context matters.
Responsible and sustainable development and growth must happen at the Municipal level, where relevant local considerations such as natural heritage, resource management, and long-term growth objectives are reflected and implemented through Municipal Official Plans.
The simplifying and standardizing of Official Plans would undermine Municipal decision-making, which is essential to protecting the public interest.
I fully reject this proposal.
