Please do not get rid of bicycle lanes. I do not drive, but I do ride bicycles. I have been hit by unobservant drivers three times now, and have had numerous close calls.
As a disabled person, a bicycle is the best way for me to get around. I do my grocery shopping and other errands with my bike. I ride to doctor appointments.
Please make it safe for folks like me. I already rarely go into downtown Kitchener because the bicycle infrastructure is lacking and the drivers are aggressive. I do, however, bike to Waterloo because the trails and bike lanes there are superior.
