Contaminating the Goulais…

Contaminating the Goulais river should not be permitted. No percentage of waste should be allowed by governing authority to be sent into fresh water -treated or otherwise. We are talking after all about not just human excrement but various residual chemicals.
The ski resort already borrows water from the Goulais river and should have to pay to remove or recycle their own treated effluent.

This river is a confirmed habitat of the endangered wood turtle. I helped one cross the road just this spring.
It is probably the longest winding river in the region and the entire area is a flood plain.
Used by people for recreation, kids swimming, dogs drinking, people watering their gardens.
All the homes in the area will lose property value and many residents will move away.
Would you want this in your back yard?

This community and ecosystem and everywhere else downstream should not have to suffer for a seasonal business to potentially expand.
