This is moronic and yet another showcase of how the current Ontario government is nothing but a thinly veiled puppet for housing developers. Instead of actually representing the interests of the public by enabling the creation of robust, sustainable housing, the government is bending the knee and kissing the ring of the wealthiest individuals in the province, solely so that they can build cheaper buildings and increase their profit margins even more. They will not be passing along the cost savings of deleting these sustainable building standards down to the consumer.

Furthermore, erasing the storm water management benefits of green roofs will only increase the tax burden of storm water management and treatment. This provincial government is a disgusting oligarchy and the premier is a submissive coward who pathetically pretends to be a strong man.
