I am 82 and believe me I do not ride a bike, but I do drive a car. I love bike lanes because I know where the bikers actually are if they are in their own lanes. And I drive on Bloor West often and do not find it slower. Why are you risking safety for bikers by removing lanes, while achieving no increase in speed by drivers? And who decided drivers should have more right to the road than bikers. And as far as parking, we drivers take up a lot more space than a bike when we stop on Bloor or elsewhere and park. The whole thing is just damned ridiculous and illogical!
