I am very concerned about bill 60. This bill threatens everything that is important to me and those around me, safe transit, cycling and pedestrian infrastructure. Municipalities should furthermore have the jurisdiction to decide what they do with their own roadways.
Long has the car lobby dominated our cities, it is time to take back our infrastructure to prioritize human wellbeing rather than making our streets into urban highways for Doug Ford to drive his car around at top speed. Stop bill 60, stop attacking cyclists, and present policies that benefit your constituents instead.
I am both a bicycle and car owner in the city of Toronto. Issues like affordability and the environment are incredibly important, while congestion should not be Ford's constant concern.
