I strongly oppose Bill 60. It is undemocratic to prevent citizens from determining what happens in the cities where they live, work, and play. I ride my bike in Toronto to the gym, restaurants, grocery shopping etc every day. I have a right to ride safely which is only possible with bike lanes.
There is no evidence bike lanes are the main source of traffic congestion. The way to move cars faster around cities is to get those who can walk, take transit, and bike out of their cars. There is also evidence that construction which closes down car lanes and illegally park cars very much do clog traffic. Put your efforts on solutions that actually work rather than ones that will lead to more pollution and more cyclists dying.
