I find it distressing that the proincial government has decidedly recently that duly elected members of city councils are not representatives of the population and have determined that overstepping provincial authority to override those decisions - to the detriment of the people in those cities - is both right and justfied when neither is true.
The government cannot on one hand claim it believes in climate change and addressing climate change and then on the other hand proceed to undermine every single attempt to address climate change and miss all of its own targets at the same time. The average citizen cannot hope to combat that lobbying power of businesses that seek to reduce their own responsiblity for causing massive pollution and climate change - they have neither the access nor the influence. Profit at the expense of health, well-being and nature is short-lived, poor business continuity and poor planning - and yet its rewarded at every turn.
