Minor Variances (As-of-right Variations from Performance Standards):
Generally concur with the proposed regulations for Minor Variances if kept to 5%, NOT 10%. Too much risk of abuse if 10% allowed.
Policy Statements and Minister’s Decisions:
Can the Province simply shift the PPS from "shall be consistent" to "shall have regard" to language? This modification would greatly improve opportunities for new development, and eliminate the need for this overriding section.
Community Improvement Plans:
Finally! An excellent proposed change to support the implementation of upper-tier Community Improvement Plans (CIPs). Long overdue.
