I am a 20 year old student from Toronto and I think this proposal is a terrible idea. There have been countless studies as to why bike and bus lanes are not only good for the community but REDUCE traffic not increase it. On top of this I also believe that it is a bad idea to increase the power the provincial government has over it's municipalities, especially with how much they have increased it in Doug Ford's term. It takes power farther from the hands of the people and greatly contributes to the growing corruption in Queens Park.
I have linked a article from the CBC about bike lanes, it includes a links to multiple studies backing up these claims and Nicole Mortillaro, the author, breaks down the data in a way making it very easy to understand.
