As a renter and cyclist I believe the content of this bill is abhorrent. The province is severely impacting tenants by favouring already profitable and demanding landlords where the power balance heavily favours the property owners.
Further the province is restricting what municipalities and their local communities do with their roads forbidding lane removal and bike lane infrastructure. This change would remove communities ability to make themselves safer, improve congestion, and promote green transportation like cycling.
Why even have cities if the province insists they know best and override the will of the people who live there.
