Bill 60 is far too restrictive, and ultimately would obstruct what it sets out to accomplish, even in the best case scenarios. In a system where reducing motor vehicle lanes is often the primary method of easing traffic congestion and promoting economic growth, a law which prohibits doing so could be crippling to both local and provincial institutions. Additionally, the degree to which it would slow or outright prevent the expansion of bicycle networks would likewise be a burden on local economies and local transit systems.
