Not allowing bike lanes especially with non-enforcement of speed limits will make me feel less safe. It makes no sense. Traffic on Bloor in Toronto sped up after the introduction of bike lanes (confirmed by routes recommended by google maps).
It is also not fair to put the merchants on these roads back on a traffic sewer. They have made business decisions based having bike lanes.
