I think it’s ridiculous that the province wants to limit bike lane development in favour of cars. The municipality knows what the local people want and the province is attempting to control local governments. The car is not king. Cars are polluting and cost tax payers millions in road repair and highways. Let cities and towns have their democratic rights to decide whether or not to install bike lanes. I think the province has other more important things to do such as putting more money into education and healthcare.
