As a driver, voter and taxpayer, I find this legislation appalling. It is regressive and will make the lives of Ontarians worse without any of the claimed benefits. Not all road users are in cars, and public policy should reflect that. If a community wants to add bicycle infrastructure it should have the right to do so as it sees fit. Ontario should let municipalities figure this out without interference.
