As a university educator in landscape architecture and a specialist in urban water processes, I regard this proposal as irresponsible and dangerous. Weakening and removing municipal measures to address environmental issues will put more people in harm's way. The correct response to differences in municipal policies across the province is to match the highest requirements for environmental performance.
