The Catchocoma Forest tract of land is both a spiritual and cultural place of the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg Peoples.
Any proposal to change this relationship means meaningful consent and engagement with the Treaty 20 signatories voted in the community to allow any proposal to move forward.
The way which these current consultations are being delivered are not representative of the communities history and perspectives in ways we still use this land and it's meaningful ways to keep it intact to preserve our way of life on the land.
