I would like to comment about the proposed changes to Boyne Valley Provincial Park.
I am happy to see that more land is being officially added to this park. I understand that hunting is already permitted on most of these lands and have concerns about hunting close to Primrose Elementary School and near the Primrose loop of the Bruce Trail.
As a home owner adjacent to Boyne Valley Provincial Park and member of the local Bruce Trail association I have great concern about allowing hunting in the currently regulated sections of the park. Much of the terrain is inappropriate for hunting (steep hills and swamp). Much of the regulated land is in an ANSI. The Toronto District School Board still owns land adjacent to the park. Students and staff may be put at risk if programs run there again. Allowing hunting along a popular section of the Bruce Trail is not wise. The July 6, 2021 version of the park plan states clearly that no hunting will allowed in the regulated areas.
Please consider these concerns and do not allow hunting in the regulated areas of Boyne Valley Province Park.
Thank-you.
