I strongly support ERO 025-1368 to accelerate high-density, transit-oriented development at the Oakville GO station, while rejecting the Town Council’s restrictive "mid-rise" alternative. The provincial plan correctly prioritizes maximizing housing supply on underutilized land next to critical transit infrastructure, whereas the Council’s proposal wastefully limits density and stifles growth during a housing crisis. We must leverage this prime location for vertical growth to support transit ridership and housing affordability, rather than allowing municipal hesitation to block essential progress.
