We have seen many local groups being swept into a "more centralized" provincial body - it has never been beneficial to local concerns. How can replacing the Quinte Conservation group, who has monitored the environmental issues for forty odd years, be better understood by grouping such a large area all together? It will not benefit any of the local groups who have a close relationship with all the dams, rivers and environmental aspects in their own backyards.
These sorts of amalgamations are often done as a financial savings move - almost always at the loss of any meaningful local input.
I strongly disagree with this proposal and ask that you leave the overseeing and management of the local watershed to those of us who live here.
Thank You
