Re 025-1368, I'm unhappy the provincial government is moving to ignore the wise and careful town planning process that our Oakville town council and citizens have completed. The province's alternative approach would overbuild its area with tall, high-density condominium buildings with no guarantees of sufficient community services, park space, and recreation. Traffic problems in the area would be exacerbated. Not just the transit-oriented area but Oakville in general would become a less attractive place to live.
I'd prefer the provincial government to respect local wisdom and community processes.
