This is a terrible idea that will only bring grid lock to an area that is already affected by rush hour trains. I work and live in the area and with current traffic patterns I can get to work in under 10 minutes with no traffic. During rush hour that time can increase to 20-25 minutes. Adding this number of people will lock this area up considerably and make the area unusable. It is naive to think that the people moving into these spots will use public transit all of the time. There is no way that this small piece of land can support that many new people. The Westbound Lakeshore line has been down several weekends this fall. What are the 11,000 people supposed to do when this happens? This is short sighted for the benefit of developers. Look at all of the available condos in Toronto. This is not creating affordable housing for many. There are many other uses for that land within the designed zoning limits. Please do not allow this many buildings on such a small pocket of land.
