Merging of the conservation authorities seems like a costly and pointless activity, which I am are will be presented as an efficiency but will ultimately cause years of issues. How is this going to be funded? If I live in Niagara, will people in Peel be included in water way decisions and planning? Each watershed contains unique ecosystems, populations, and community needs, merging the authorities will not allow these needs to me met.
There is not an adequate plan to make this change and there is no community demand, so why is the government doing this?
This is an incredibly bad and pointless idea.
