I have read both the proposal and the HCA response to this proposal. I agree with HCA’s submission. I am quite concerned about losing local decision-making. I have seen time and again what happens when decision making power is lost at the local level. Things become inefficient, impersonal and disorganized. The needs of the local get lost and issues get overlooked. I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community.
