I am not behind this at all. A bigger region means more will slip through the cracks. Not all areas in that region are relatable and will be painted with the same brush as the ones that are most popular, not ensuring that all parks are important. Instead of downsizing and allowing local jurisdictions to address the issues. We need better standards for areas. When the government steps in and decides that they are going to “simplify” neglect, oversight, and they do not know best. Locals know what works in their own community and are more likely to keep the parks thriving. I am completely against the consolidation!!!! We all are!!!!
