I vehemently oppose this proposal on multiple grounds.

My chief complaint is that the sweeping generalization of conservation areas erases efforts at localized knowledge and capacity building, and sweeps a failure of governments to fund and uphold vital systems like watershed conservation under the rug.

I have serious concerns about the benefit for these proposed changes, for anyone except multi-million+ developers. The intent of these proposed changes is cynical and deeply evil.

If we want to guarantee our children’s access to safe drinking water, flood-aware housing, and Canadian sovereign FOOD SECURITY, we need to do better.
