Regarding the proposed merger of the conservation authorities, I agree with the Hamilton Conservation Authority's submission to the ERO. As an active participant in the work that my local conservation authority does, I am concerned about losing local decision-making. The proposal is not well-founded and will reduce the effectiveness of all 36 of our current conservation authorities. It is unnecessary and harmful to the vital work that our conservation authorities do.
