I do not support the merger…

I do not support the merger of conservation authorities. I believe a merger will make it impossible to address local contexts and needs. I am concerned about how expensive mergers are, and it does not seem like a benefit is clear. As flooding becomes more common, conservation authorities are experts in insuring development happens in a way that will minimize problems for property owners. We need more houses, but we need good houses that do not leave homeowners with ongoing problems that could be avoided with the help of expertise held at local conservation authorities.
