As a life long resident of Ontario, I strongly oppose the amalgamation of Conservation Authorities in the province. In my city, the proposal would merge 5 Conservation Authorities into 1.

With the vast majority of funding coming from municipalities and user fees for services, the province should withdraw the proposed consolidation. Even if Ontario was the primary funder, a consolidation of the Conservation Authorities is a move with more negative consequences than positive ones. I strongly oppose this proposal.
