With 89% of Canadians having identified nature as a core aspect of national identity, will our government reflect majority opinion and protect our basic environmental needs?

I strongly urge that we maintain the integrity of the current conservation authorities. We should be bolstering the input of watershed experiments, and not erode oversight. This proposal will allow landowners and developers to by pass environmental protections in place.

Do not amalgamate the 36 conservation authorities; they will not be able to do their jobs if they are further downgraded, already strained as they are under severe underfunding and having powers removed by the government.
