I don’t support the amalgamation of the Conservation Authorities and am against its implementation. It is imperative that local authorities have influence over decisions regarding macro and microcosms within its boundaries. Yes, watersheds need to work together for the betterment of ecological integrity, and the best way forward is to sustain the current Conservation Authority system.
I am of the opinion that Doug Ford is looking for yet another way to bulldoze our Greenbelt for the benefit of his friends, and NOT for the people of Ontario. He has been noted in scandal after scandal involving the exploitation of our environment, land and water resources being at the top of his chopping block.
STOP this aggression toward our greenspaces! They are not for sale!
