Whilst I support the intent…

Whilst I support the intent to streamline and rationalise the processes across Conservation Authorities, I strongly oppose your intention to consolidate the existing conservation authorities in the extreme manner you suggest. I reside in South Western Ontario and believe that the Conservation areas in our area (Upper and Lower Thames and Kettle Creek) are intimately aware of and skilled in looking after our watersheds. At best I could see some rationalisation of them based on a specific watershed, but to broaden this rationalisation further will totally destroy the intimate and needed relationship the current authorities have. I fear that this proposal is based on money and pressure by big developers and will cause further damage and degradation on our precious environment. As such I strongly recommend that this proposal be rejected and totally removed or at least based on proper research by those expert in environmental protection and any rationalisation confined to central process optimization and within watershed boundaries.
